Zoneminder Not Capturing5/11/2021
If I set that up in Openhab and view that feed on my phone, obviously, the size of the image is tiny on your phone screen (your phone re-sizes the image to fit the screen) however, you are still pulling a JPGmjpeg feed so for each image ZoneMinder and therefore OpenHab sends out that would be about 1.8MB of data per image (at a guess).By creating a monitor that was 25 of the main camera monitor, I literally saved 75 of my bandwidth when viewing remotely at the same update frequency.
On my phone, both these images look exactly the same sizequality on the screen though you can see the size difference when viewing on the desktop which is where I captured the below image from. EDIT - Additional Thought You could include a button in the sitemap to Disable these ZM camera feeds when not in use and turn them on remotely when you want them (You would use the below, set it to None to disable the camera feed within ZM and Monitor to turn it on.). Maybe set it to 24 Bit color or Grayscale for more bandwidth saving. This is done today with camerafeed widget and zoneminder server urls. This works. But in the logs of my zoneminder, I see a lot of authentication. Seems this is an issue with chrome But in firefox im getting a bit the same behavoir. I suppose you could try tweaking the max connection limit in both Chrome and Firefox. That would prove for sure if thats the problem youre running into. Zmeventnotification spits out an MQTT message whenever a person is detected like so. Jun 14 21:35:18 eventid:1678897,eventtype:eventend,monitor:14,detection:,name:Ended:Camera-1:(1678897) a detected:person:69 Motion: All,hookvalue:0,state:alarm. ![]() In my docker Im forwarding port 8000 to zoneminder port 80 and port 8001 to port 443. Ive applied the.htaccess fix as mentioned above but that hasnt helped either. Updating this bundle instead. WARN org.apache.felix.fileinstall - A bundle with the same symbolic name (org.openhab.binding.zm) and version (2.5.5.202004271323) is already installed. Perhaps someone whos more familiar with that type of installation can help. The binding shows up in PaperUI under Bindings, and as I said earlier, Zoneminder Server shows up as a Thing. ![]() No difference. In ZM, under Options, API, I have created an openhab user, and I have assigned a password. That user and password have been entered into the Zoneminder Server Thing configuration in PaperUI.
